Theory
Thailand is the one country that should use of Marxism/Conflict Theories in my opinion. Thailand is the developing country for many years ago and also be like that if we cannot decrease the space of income between rich and poor. If we remain let it be, it will more difficult to solve because rich people will hold the all business in Thailand more than half of all. According to the news from Bangkok post online said that
"Thailand third most unequal country in world"
Russia is the world’s most unequal country, with 74.5 per cent of the
country's wealthcontrolled by 1 per cent of the people. India is
next at 58.4% and then Thailand is the third most unequal country
in the world at 58%.
This news
can insist the economic disparity also
stay in Thailand. In my opinion ,most of Thai people think that rich people get
the good service than the poor.We can see many example in real life such
as 30 baht universal healthcare scheme.It's not effective in real life. Poor
people serves lower standard in treatment and they have to waiting for
long time.It's inequality between poor and rich .
I think
the we should change start form the basic one such as quality of
life, education ,structure of society in Thailand.Also, we should revise the
way we think.The direction of Thailand depend on us.
Introduction
I’m
Chalisa Jirutchok (Pat) 57070503603.My major is Environmental Engineering. I
got many thing from this course such as knowledge about theory relate to society,
culture and economic .Especially, critical thinking skill. Before I take this
course when i saw the news, I just belief it .After this course, I feel like i
make the question and analyst it why become like that before belief the news .Not
only in the news, but also can apply in real life because I use logic in
thinking than before. Moreover, I got team work skill because i’m the oldest
one and came from Engineer faculty whereas other are from Architecture. But, we
can go well together when we have to brainstorm they can share different idea
which i never think it before. Another thing, I don’t know the meaning refugee
and how about their problem. After, I learned about problem of them, I feel
pity and would to help them. And, I think also have many people don’t realize
that our social were changed.

Grant that you make us to realize the our
society and culture. Not only in Thailand, but also in the world. I hope you be

We learned a lot in this class but there are 4 topic
that i most memorize.
Critical thinking
First of all ,It’s critical thinking. I feel every
class ,teacher make us think more before belief it.
What’s critical
Thinking?
According to my
understand, it’s the way to analyst the things that you
gain before you belief
it without your emotion .It’s use the logic, fact and asking the question for
analyst before judge the evidence.
“Critical
Thinking is the ability to analyze the way you think and present evidence for
your ideas, rather than simply accepting your personal reasoning as sufficient
proof. You can gain numerous benefits from mastering critical thinking skills,
such as better control of your own learning and empathy for other points of
view.”
Why it important?
It can apply to our
real life. Nowadays, we live in globalization world, everything come very fast
.Some news are artificial .And, if we don’t use the critical thinking so, it
can cause to damage and struggle.
We can see many example
that lack of critical thinking skills such as education in Thailand are the
long term problem that we cannot solve it.In my opinion ,study in Thailand will
focus on the content and grade like who can memorize all text will be the
clever one.And, the problem is in real case in working,The company need people
who can think like critical thinking, problem solving skill .Not good memory .
I think Thai student have study a lot over than should be like
mustkindergarten level .It’s make children lack of other skill that essentials in their
life. They study hard all the time so, they lack of time to think or just make
question. They just remember the content without thinking. It’s like more
quantity but without quality.So, I agree
that we should teach and improve this skill in Thai education.
Culture &Social change
Cultures is the very important thing for Thailand because it’s the thing to specify the way of living to be happy in living. The changing of culture are depend on many factors such as technology, language, law and religion. . But right now in Thai society were changed so,we have to adapt ourselves with this situation. There are many culture that were changed occur in our daily life. In my opinion, changing of culture have both advantage and disadvantages.
Advantage
We have many technology that can help easier life. Also, it’s can improve our country such as economic growth, education and infrastructure.
Disadvantages
However, all of advantage are in term of material ,but when we see about moral culture or social culture don’t develop and sometimes it worse than before. We are develop only the material things but not improve the moral of our people. This is the one reason that way Thailand have many chaotic situation. It’s not calm like in the past.There are some wronge social values occur in Thailand such as money like a God or to spend money over than their income for make themselves look rich. What ‘s problem from this wronge social value???

Theft by officials in aid for poor scheme widespread
More embezzlement of financial aid intended for the destitute has been uncovered as graft busters expand their investigation in rural provinces, and the corruption appears to be well organised.
He said about 2,400 destitute people were officially entitled to the financial assistance in Bung Kan. They were poor or HIV-infected people. Most HIV patients received the aid.
There was evidence of the same corruption in Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Bung Kan, Nong Khai and Surat Thani provinces. Evidence was still being gathered in many more provinces in the various regions.

Human right&Refugee
First time that i heard this word,i don't no the meaning but, they said that Rohingya is the one example of refugee. They are good one example of inequalities in the world because they don't have the human right in their life. As we known,the human right is basic things that everyone should have in their life. Since they are refugee,what 's quality in their life?education in the children?
In my class,there are two refugee come from Lebanon country.They said "they are student like us but they cannot go to school like us".I feel pity them.In my opinion,first of all for Rohinya refugee crisis should donate the condom for helping reduce the fastest growing of refugee .After that , we should find the solution for this topic in the world conference. We have to solve this problem together,it's not just the one responsibility of someone or some country.
Question about inequalities.
How do these inequalities affect your life in Thai society and/or the world?
• For me it’s not effect to much but it’s very affect to poor people or look poor. In grade 12, my friend didn’t paid the tuition to school because her family have problem in finance, so she cannot take in the exam room. In my opinion, I think it too much to separate or judge other people by money. Not only in Thailand, but all the world think like money is the god. I think we give the important with money too much and in wrong way like they didn’t care the way to get the money so, that why corruption problem and wrong social value still cannot be solve.
Have you ever been discriminated against? Explain.
• Sure,I ever go buy the cosmetic for my mom.I wear the t-shirt and short pant so,I look like the poor girl. So, the salesman did not give the good service to me.
Have you ever seen an act of injustice or discrimination? Explain.
• Many case .I ever go to some hospital. I saw the different between poor and rich in treatment. Poor people will get slow in cure or treatment. And , poor people need to stay together in big room without air conditioner whereas rich people can take private room with air condition. Also, before out of hospital will get the fruit baskets .It’ s show that money also effect to society.
How did these experience make you feel?
• Depress in sometime .I think that actually we should equal in basic things. But it ‘s not true in our life. Gap between poor and rich are increase in every day. Although, some people will hard more than 8 hour per day but they still cannot flight with capitalist.
Share at least one way you can contribute to changing the way society works. I want you to practically demonstrate how you can reimagine the world.
• I think that change all the society is very difficult so,i will start with myself like work hard and share to poor people like may be foundation for who homeless can get free food.
